About $990 a year less to heat than your oil boiler, and you get central air.

From the sample proposal. The homeowner and contractor are fictional.

The install isn’t the hard part.

Small shops in the Mass Save network are booked out. What slows them down is everything around the install.

  • Quotes that don’t close

Homeowners collect three or four quotes. Each one is hours of design and writing, and most of them go to someone else.

  • The same rebate questions, every day

Do I qualify? Do I need insulation first? What’s the HEAT Loan? Is there still a federal tax credit?

  • Paperwork that holds up the rebate

Every model number has to be on Mass Save’s approved list and on the invoice. One slip and your customer’s rebate waits.

  • Jobs that stall after the handshake

Energy assessments and loan approvals take weeks. Without follow-up, signed customers go quiet.

And 2026 gave homeowners more to ask about: the whole-home rebate is now capped at $8,500, and the federal heat pump tax credit ended last year.

How it works

About five minutes of your time per job.

  1. Send the job

After the site visit, send your notes, photos, the equipment you’re quoting and your price. A voice memo from the truck works too.

  2. We write the proposal

In your logo and colors: the system in plain English, the rebate and loan math, the yearly heating cost compared with what they pay now, and their next steps.

  3. You check it and send it

It’s back within 24 hours. Change anything you like. Nothing reaches your customer until you approve it.

What your customer gets

A proposal they can read at the kitchen table without calling you, so the decision moves without you chasing it.

Why the numbers hold up

The math comes from formulas, not guesswork

Rebate, cost and loan figures are calculated from the current Mass Save program rules, then checked against your notes.

Every model is checked

Each indoor and outdoor unit is matched against Mass Save’s qualified product list before the proposal goes out.

You have the final say

You approve every proposal. Rebates are shown as estimates with their conditions, because Mass Save sets final eligibility.

The rules stay current

Program rules are re-checked whenever Mass Save changes them, and the program year is printed on every proposal.

Questions

Do I need to be in the Mass Save installer network?

For the rebate to apply, yes: homeowners only get the Mass Save heat pump rebate when a network member does the install. The proposals are written for network contractors in Massachusetts.

What do I need to send?

Your notes from the visit, a few photos, the equipment and model numbers you’re quoting, your price, and the homeowner’s current fuel and roughly how much they use. If something’s missing, you get one short question back instead of a guess.

How fast do I get it back?

Within 24 hours of sending the job, usually sooner.

Is this written by AI?

AI drafts the wording from your notes. The rebate and cost figures come from formulas built on the current Mass Save rules, and every proposal is checked before it reaches you. You approve it before your customer sees it.

What happens to my customers’ information?

It’s used only to write proposals for you. It’s never sold or shared with other contractors, and job files are deleted after 12 months. The privacy policy has the details.

What if Mass Save changes the rules?

The rules are re-checked whenever the program changes, and every proposal shows the program year it uses.

Do I have to get on a call?

No. Send one job and judge the result. If you’d rather talk first, reply to any email and we’ll set up a time.

Are you part of Mass Save?

No. Rebate Ready Proposals is independent and isn’t affiliated with Mass Save or its sponsoring utilities.

Try it on your next site visit.

Email the notes and photos from one job. You’ll get a finished proposal back within 24 hours, free.
